The week of March 6-10th marked Weber Midle School's annual celebration of Foreign Language Week. During this special week, the students had the opportunity to share their own personal experiences with foreign language and/or culture. Some of them spoke of their family heritage, others of travel adventures abroad. They brought pictures, food, costumes and stories.
Not only students, but parents and faculty as well presented to classes. Japan, Ireland, El Salvador, Iran, Korea, Croatia, the Ukraine, Poland, France and Canada were just some of the countries represented.
Aside from classroom activities, the pledge was recited in a different language each day by a different student, international music was played in the morning over the P.A. and flags from around the world were hung throughout the school.
This week was a great sucess and the Weber Foreign language department would like to extend its gratitude to all students, parents and staff members for their support and participation.
